of cast parts in hypoeutectic grey cast
irons Metalurgia (57) 2005, nr.3, p.18 The paper
presents a model and a software for the |
macro-solidification of parts cast in
hypoeutectic cast iron. There are presented the hypothesis that lay on the
base of the realized mathematical model. The model uses the finite
differences method and is initially conceived in 1D, following to be extended
to 2D and 3D. The mathematical model starts from thermal balance equation for
an elementary layer of xi thickness and an elementary time interval Dt. In the case of
hypoeutectic cast iron there were stand out 16 situations for which it
was necessary to detail the thermal balance equation. There are presented the
mathematical equations that form the mathematical model and their usage in
the software. There are presented two, the software structure and the
possibilities of using this software during the research about the

Minea: Radiation electrical furnace optimization by
changing the air circulation Metalurgia (57) 2005, nr.3, p.42 An actual trend in hot working industrial processes
development it consists in computer assisted technologies and heat treatment
furnaces, combined with reduced energetically consumptions. The proposed
methodology, for studying the functional optimization of the radiation
electrical furnaces is: -
adapting for the
furnace a command and control equipment, assisted by computer, -
constructive and
functional modification of the furnace heat chamber, -
programmed
experiment and analytical interpretation of the results. Constructive and functional modification of the
furnace heat chamber consists in variation of the distance between panels and
furnace walls. This variation is given by an angle of variation.
Experimentally, it can be observed that by changing the heat chamber geometry
modifying the panels angle we obtained energetical advantages. In conclusion, adopting of an adequate constructive
design for the two radiative panels leads to remarkable economical effects,
concomitant with assuring of the technical conditions imposed to heat
treatment operations. |
