The paper presents the results of the authors’ scientific research on a composite material with polymeric matrix, hardened with rock particles, granite type. It was studied the influence of the hardened phase grain and the quantity of resin on the compression resistance of the product. These weather resistant materials have a long period of ageing, a permanent finishing and require almost no maintenance.

For the research granite from the Măcin Mountains, Dobrogea Romania with greenish shade was used, which was crushed and then granulometric sorted. Granite is an acid volcanic rock, with over 65% SiO2 in its components, to which CaO, MgO, R2O2, MnO2, TiO2, Fe2O3, etc. in different rates is added; it has granular structure and massive texture. Polyesteric thermorigid resin was used for the matrix. These resins can be characterized by: easy obtaining, and accessibility of the raw materials, quick strengthening without side-off products, good coloring features, transparency, good chemical resistance at unrusty acids and alcohols. Composite samples were made through shaping in steel matrix. After shaping and maturation, the samples were tried at compression.

   The paperwork presents, at first, in principle enamelling technology for products obtained from sheet-iron then is described the mechanism formation of defects called " fishscales", the manner of act avoided the appearance, method of measure the sensibility for this defect and the own researches: the connection among the degree of cold-working and the “fishscales” probability appearance.

Ciobanu Ioan, Munteanu Sorin Ion, Crişan Aurel :1D mathematical modeling for the macro-solidification of cast  parts in hypoeutectic grey cast irons

The paper presents a model and a software for the

 

macro-solidification of parts cast in hypoeutectic cast iron. There are presented the hypothesis that lay on the base of the realized mathematical model. The model uses the finite differences method and is initially conceived in 1D, following to be extended to 2D and 3D. The mathematical model starts from thermal balance equation for an elementary layer of xi thickness and an elementary time interval Dt. In the case of  hypoeutectic cast iron there were stand out 16 situations for which it was necessary to detail the thermal balance equation. There are presented the mathematical equations that form the mathematical model and their usage in the software. There are presented two, the software structure and the possibilities of using this software during the research about the solidification of parts cast from hypoeutectic alloys.

Alina Adriana Minea: Radiation electrical furnace optimization by changing the air circulation

An actual trend in hot working industrial processes development it consists in computer assisted technologies and heat treatment furnaces, combined with reduced energetically consumptions. The proposed methodology, for studying the functional optimization of the radiation electrical furnaces is:

-          adapting for the furnace a command and control equipment, assisted by computer,

-          constructive and functional modification of the furnace heat chamber,

-          programmed experiment and analytical interpretation of the results.

Constructive and functional modification of the furnace heat chamber consists in variation of the distance between panels and furnace walls. This variation is given by an angle of variation. Experimentally, it can be observed that by changing the heat chamber geometry – modifying the panels angle – we obtained energetical advantages.

In conclusion, adopting of an adequate constructive design for the two radiative panels leads to remarkable economical effects, concomitant with assuring of the technical conditions imposed to heat treatment operations.
